Avon Grove High School issued the following announcement on Feb. 2.
Emma Puffenberger has been named the Lions Club Student of the Month for February. She is the daughter of Beth and Andy Puffenberger of Cochranville.
Emma is active in school with Girls’ Soccer (9, 10, 11, 12; Varsity Captain), Chester County Student Forum (11, 12), NHS (11, 12), Women’s Choir (9, 10), Indoor Track & Field (9, 10) and FCA (9, 10, 11, 12; Leader). Emma is active in her community with Night to Shine: Shine – Thru, Willowdale Chapel Respite Night and being a Youth Ministry Volunteer. Emma’s list of awards includes Class Top 10 (10, 11), Excellence in AG US Government & Politics, Excellence in Honors Chemistry, Excellence in Piano, Excellence in Encounters with Food and she has achieved Distinguished Honors throughout high school. Emma plans to attend one of her top university choices: Penn State University, Messiah University or James Madison University for Nursing and she would like to work International Medical Missions. Teachers she has been most influenced by are Mrs. Creamer, Mrs. Foster, Mr. Pizzini, Mrs. Polin, and Mrs. Wilcox.
