Avon Grove High School issued the following announcement on Jan. 10.
Annika Pfaff has been named the Lions Club Student of the Month for January. She is the daughter of Keith and Emily Pfaff of Lincoln University.
Annika is active in school with Cross Country 9, 10, 11, 12; Varsity Team Captain), Swimming (9, 10, 11, 12; Varsity Team Captain), Track (9, 10, 11, 12; Varsity Team Captain), NHS (Historian), Freshman Mentor Program (FMP) and Peer Tutor. Annika has been active in the community by volunteering with Project Cure, LaMancha Animal Rescue and Ware Presbyterian Village. Annika’s list of awards includes Honors 9th Grade English, Textiles & Clothing I, 2019 - 2020 Cross Country Coaches Award, 2019 – 2020 Swimming Coaches Award, 2020 – 2021 Cross Country Coaches Award, 4-time Cross Country PIAA State Championships Qualifier, 1-time Swimming PIAA State Championships Qualifier and she has achieved Distinguished Honors throughout high school. Annika plans to attend one of her top university choices: University of Virginia, Southern California, South Carolina Honors College or Columbia University to study Public Health and then attend medical school for her career goal of Pediatric Anesthesiology. Teachers she has been most influenced by are Mrs. Coffman, Mr. Kowalski, Mr. Langhorne, Mr. Mills, Mrs. Penn and Mrs. Vaddi.
