Avon Grove High School issued the following announcement on Dec. 6.
Jillian Stauffer has been named the Rotary Club Student of the Month for December. She is the daughter of Ashley and Kevin Stauffer.
Jillian’s list of school activities includes Social Emotional Learning (SEL), HACK Club, Medicine Club, Diversity Book Club, Freshman Mentor Program (FMP), LEO Club, Best Buddies and Performing Arts Club (PAC). Jillian has been active in her community with Unite for Her, packaging and sorting medical supplies for Project Cure, tutoring, babysitting, participant of Chester County Student Forum and participating in Social Emotional Learning Summer Retreats. Jillian’s list of honors includes recently being accepted into the NHS, Computer Science Honor Society of which she is the Secretary and she has achieved Distinguished Honors throughout high school. Jillian is interested in Education and English. Teachers who have influenced her most are Ms. Cahill, Mrs. Miers, Ms. Mills, Mrs. Penn, Mr. Pizzini, Mrs. Polin and Mrs. Shrake.
