Unionville Presbyterian Church issued the following announcement on Jul. 17.

Learn about how to encourage and inspire employees who work with you. Instead of concentrating on just the fact you want tasks getting done, motivate the team to perform well.
Don’t act like you know everything just because you are in a leadership position. You may think your ideas are the best, but know that others can also help you with decisions. They will be able to give you pointers with your plans or identify issues that may arise during implementation of them.
Do what you can to be approachable. Some leaders believe that intimidation and bullying is the best way to let them know you are in control.
Even the greatest leader is bound to make mistakes now and again.A great leader would be able to admit to mistakes and be able to explain the problem to their employees. It shows that you’re just a human and mistakes happen.
Set tough goals high but make sure they are not impossible ones. This just sets your team into failure. This will show everyone that you’re a leader.
Know exactly what kinds of goals require. Know what the goals you want to achieve. They should align well and even overlapped in some areas. You must work on both. If you aren’t able to, you will lack enthusiasm.
Take responsibility for what come out of your statements. Leadership starts with being accountable for what you say and actions. If you have made missteps or errors, then you need to make good immediately. Don’t try to get others to fix it for you.
Integrity is one of the same. Integrity is about everything all the time. Leading with integrity will get your team respects and trusts you.
One of a leader’s necessary talents will be clear communication with your employees. Make sure you’re taking the time to help teach your team knows what is expected of them and understands all instructions. Check in on a regular intervals to make certain everything is on track.
Leaders must understand what is possible and actually getting done. There is a relationship between both of them. If you have something that you’re constantly thinking about, make sure they are completed. Write it down someplace else so you are able to put your mind to the tasks at hand.
