Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.
Dr. Joseph Kontra, Chief of Infectious Diseases at Lancaster General Hospital, along with some frontline employees from the Emergency Department, Trauma, ICU, Labor & Delivery, Phlebotomy, Environmental Services, and Respiratory Therapy, were among the first to receive the COVID-19 vaccine today at the Suburban Pavilion.
