Former Avon Grove High School player and current Goldey-Beacom Lightning pitcher, Karl Schmidt, will compete in the NCAA D2 Baseball Championship Tournament.

They begin the tournament as a number six seed against the third seeded Post Eagles.

The first game is on Thursday, May 16.
